As a model, designer, and entrepreneur, she has seamlessly translated her early experience in front of the camera into a flourishing career that harmonizes creativity with business acumen.

In this interview, Misha discusses how her modeling background has influenced her approach to design, the inspirations behind her luxury accessories brand Skova, and her latest ventures that are set to make a lasting impact on the fashion world.

Misha, as a model, entrepreneur, designer, and creator of fashion brands, you`ve mentioned that modeling was a guide to your true passions. How has your experience as a model influenced your vision and approach to design?

Modeling was my first love, and it offered me a unique perspective on fashion from the inside out. Being on the other side of the camera, I developed an intuitive understanding of how clothes interact with the body, the way jewelry is perceived, the importance of fit, and how attention to detail in design and branding can evoke an aesthetic response. This experience has well-informed my design and art direction processes, as I always prioritize creating pieces and brands that not only exude uniqueness but also feel exclusive. As for my priorities, they evolve alongside me. Currently, design takes precedence, followed closely by entrepreneurship, where I can bring my visions to life and share them with the world.

Your luxury accessories brand, Skova, is very popular and beloved by celebrities. What unique features distinguish your products from other renowned brands?

Skova`s success is rooted in our unwavering dedication to craftsmanship and authenticity. Each piece we create is more than just an accessory; it`s a story waiting to be told, woven from the threads of culture and history. We blend timeless elegance with a modern touch, ensuring that our designs are not only stylish but also meaningful. Our commitment to quality and attention to detail truly set us apart — every accessory we craft is a piece of art, designed to be cherished and to stand the test of time.

When I first ventured into the fashion industry, the biggest challenge was navigating its complexities as a new entrepreneur. It was an overwhelming experience, but I refused to give up. I stayed true to my vision, constantly learning and adapting, and surrounded myself with a team that shared my passion and drive. Skova has grown and evolved since then. What began as a jewelry line has transformed into a full-fledged beach lifestyle brand, offering everything from beautiful hats to picnic rugs and beach umbrellas. As we continue to grow, so does our commitment to quality, and we continue to lead the way.

How do your travels to different countries, such as Europe and South Africa, influence your collections and design decisions?

Travel is a significant source of inspiration for me. Every country has its own unique culture and traditions, which I love to explore and incorporate into my designs. Europe offers a rich history of fashion and craftsmanship, while South Africa provides a vibrant mix of colors, textures, and stories that resonate deeply with me.

I have traveled the world — from Australia and Asia to South America and back to my home country, the Czech Republic. These experiences have broadened my perspective and enable me to create collections that are not only beautiful but also rich in cultural recognition.

Your second line, LACAUSA, has garnered a loyal following. How would you describe the brand? And what can you tell us about the new brands you`ll soon be introducing to the world, such as Sandune?

LACAUSA is a brand that embodies sustainable fashion, proudly made in the USA. It presents the perfect blend of casual style, comfort, and a commitment to mindfulness in how we approach fashion. This brand is for those who view sustainability not just as a global issue but as a proactive way of life — one that embraces beauty, freedom, self-expression, and giving back to the world with awareness and intention.

As for my latest venture, Sandune, it marks an exciting new chapter in outdoor adventure gear. While I can`t share all the details just yet, you can expect something that marries outdoor luxury with sustainability. We’re creating versatile, top-quality gear for both men and women that not only elevates their outdoor experiences but also remains conscious of its environmental impact.

You are continuously learning and developing yourself. Among other things, you`ve mastered photography, editing, graphics, jewelry design, website design, blogging, e-commerce, distribution, sales, marketing, art direction, and social media. What new skills are you planning to master in the near future, and how will they benefit your business?

I`m always eager to grow and expand my skill set. At the moment, I`m delving into sustainable design practices and exploring innovative materials that combine eco-friendliness with luxury. I`m also honing my digital marketing skills to better connect with my audience in this ever-changing digital world. These new skills will enable me to create products that are not only beautiful but also responsible, and they will allow me to share my brand`s story on a global scale.
